Host Mikki Uzupes talks with Roger Hill, who manages O'Neill's Orchard in Pleasant Mount, PA, where he has been working for the past decade to revive the operation using organic principle, despite the fact it was designed with routine chemical treatment in mind. That effort is the focus of part one of our Apples episode. In part 2 we'll talk about the complex botany of these common fruit trees as well as get recipes from Chef Kate Whoerle of The Settlers Inn in Hawley, PA, and nutrition facts from our dietitian, Carol Kneier of Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, PA.
